Chino Lumber & Hardware began in 1959 under the name Valley Lumber Company. It was the smaller of two lumber yards in town, filling the needs of jobs too little for the “big guys” to bother with. In 1971, current owner Barry Johnson came to Valley Lumber and the “small” business began to change. One of the first changes Barry made was to change the business name to Chino Valley Lumber so people would know where the company was located. Years later the name was changed once again to Chino Lumber & Hardware to better express the total business.
Today, Chino Lumber & Hardware provides quality lumber, hardware and building supplies to contractors, businesses and home owners throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding areas. Because of our commitment to service and meeting the needs of our customers, our business has grown from humble beginnings to become the mainstay for lumber and hardware in the Chino area. While we are no longer the small lumberyard in town, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to filling the needs of all our customers, large or small.
